The Ontario Non-Profit Network (ONN) is hiring a Data Strategy Manager. The ideal candidate will bring policy skills, a collaborative style, project management experience, and a passion for leveraging data to support learning and decision-making.

The ONN looking for a leader with knowledge of the public policy process in Ontario, data policy, and/or data-sharing projects. The Data Strategy Manager will develop and lead the implementation of the Data, Evidence-use, and Learning (DEAL) Strategy, a (minimum) two-year project, in collaboration with a steering committee and our partners, Ajah/Powered By Data and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The successful candidate will engage with nonprofits and government on issues like data integration, privacy legislation, open data, methodically sharing program evaluation reports, and nonprofits’ secure access to administrative data to better understand the positive impact of the sector. The Data Strategy Manager will engage a range of nonprofits on questions related to the ethical use of disaggregated data (e.g., by race, gender, and disability), and data ownership and control.

Applicants will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with the expectation of the candidate beginning work by July 5, 2021.

Careers Education Empowerment Centre for Young Black Professionals in collaboration with Toronto Public Library, George Brown, and Cisco, will be supporting young Black Canadians to expand and gain the necessary skills to get started with a career in tech. This program starts on April 12, 2021.

Program Details:

• 12 weeks training and exposure with industry experts and trainers (CEE Essentials, Into to IoT, Networking Essentials and Wi-Fi Course)
• Job placement (Networking, Virtual exposure)
• Social and Financial supports (CEE wrap-around support)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Identify as Black/African Canadian
• Must be between the ages of 18-29
• Living in the GTA primarily (Rockcliffe-Smythe, Scarborough Village, West Hill, Thorncliffe Park)
• Out of School and Work

Stella’s Place is recruiting for the 2021 Young Adult Council. Here’s the application form.

Stella’s Place is the place for young adults (age 16-29) with mental health needs in the Greater Toronto Area. We provide free, comprehensive mental health services in a positive, peer engaging, non-residential community setting. These include clinical treatment services, group therapies, peer support and navigation, creative arts, fitness and wellness, as well as our online peer support app, Bean Bag Chat.

Are you a young adult (16 to 29 years old) with lived experience of mental health challenges and/or substance misuse? Are you personally invested in supporting the mission and vision of Stella’s Place by offering a young adult perspective on Stella’s Place programs to ensure they are built and evaluated with, for and by young adults? This is a one-year volunteer role (April 2021- February 2022). The Council consists of 12 members. A monthly $50.00 honorarium is offered to Council members.

Planned Parenthood Toronto, with the support of Toronto Urban Health Fund, is seeking volunteers for a Youth Advisory Committee that will help to develop, shape and deliver a new drop-in program for other young men and masculine youth. This volunteer opportunity is open to all young men and masculine identified youth between the ages of 16-26 who are interested in exploring sexual health, relationships, masculinity, and developing digital media skills.

This is an opportunity to discuss issues that matter to youth, their peers, their community, and their country.
