I graduated from high school in 1985 and it was a toxic place to be; I HATED school!  As a Black student, I did not find it to be an empowering place at all, and I was not inspired or encouraged to do well. Black people have been in canada as long as europeans have.  The first Black people came to Turtle Island/canada as enslaved Afrikans, as property of the europeans.  Black people were forced to build this country against their will for free, yet Black people are treated&hellip;</p>
