I could not agree more that we need to communicate beyond words. That using different modes of expression (pictures, songs, stories etc.) can make complex information much more accessible. It also challenges what is seen as &#8220;acceptable&#8221; communication as so often art is devalued in comparison to written work.&hellip;</p>

I agree that mental health is a privilege in that those who are deemed &#8220;mentally well&#8221; do not face the barriers to employment, housing, safety, healthcare etc. that individuals labeled &#8220;mentally ill&#8221; experience due to ableism and sanism. </p>

It&#8217;s important that knowledge creation is done with Black youth rather than just about them. I very much appreciate the idea of valuing Black youth&#8217;s time, efforts, and knowledge and offering concrete compensation for their work. Co-creation needs to benefit Black youth rather than asking for unpaid and unacknowledged work. </p>
