Representation in decision-making and leadership spaces is so important. I also believe that validating and acknowledging the experiences of black youth is vital to improving policies and practices around services for black youth. </p>

A lot of times programs are designed for black youth without actually asking or listening to the community in terms of what they need to thrive. </p>
