I think that you might have been talking about ways to teach the words to a broader audience, whereas I was thinking more about making oneself to people who don&#8217;t fully understand the words. Although, these are not mutually exclusive goals &#8211; in fact I think they can&hellip;</p>

What is One Simple Thing that your organization could do to center Black youth wellbeing?</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>My one simply thing is being more structured and intentional about incorporating race and it&#8217;s impacts on wellbeing into my practice with Black youth. </p>
<p>My organization has been connecting to more refugees of late. A more intentional practice of cultural humility might help us to create more culturally sensitive spaces and programming. </p>

I think there are folks who would have an issue with these ideas even if they were put into other language &#8211; a the same time, I think that words like &#8216;privilege&#8217; can take time to fully understand, and some people find it more challenging than others to learn words that describe&hellip;</p>

In my field of practice, the service provider is generally positioned as the ‘expert’. Part of decolonizing our work might involve stepping out of this mindset and repositioning ourselves as supports.
