Providing the space for the Black community to share their voice is extremely important to create change. </p>

What is One Simple Thing that your organization could do to center Black youth wellbeing?</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>One simple thing I can do is provide an inclusive and safe space for Black youth to be able to use their voices without anyone overpowering. As an organization, we can revise policies so they are up-to-date in terms of racism and discrimination (and what it looks like) and also providing opportunities for Black youth to participate with the community. </p>

This can be done through strength-based approaches and intersectional advocacy strategies. </p>

If the systemic level is not inclusive, it would be difficult in providing a safe space for Black youth. The research is the first step to creating positive change within the system and its policies. </p>

The research findings can be used to change practices and policies for institutions that promote anti-Black racism. It is important to address intergenerational trauma, and to also ensure that mental health support is given without any forms of&hellip;</p>

The lectures especially show that racism is shown in different ways but is left unacknowledged. Media also plays a role in how the news are broadcasted which also shows that racism in not just an individual problem but a systemic problem. </p>

The Youth Support Circle&#8217;s purpose is to provide a safe virtual space for youth to check-in as the pandemic is a stressful situation. </p>
